Day 1. ​Arrive in Ulaanbaatar and city tour

Arrive in Ulaanbaatar, the capital of Mongolia. You’ll be greeted at the airport and escorted to 4 star hotel.

Take a city tour to the Gandan Monastery where you will see huge gold-plated Buddha, a symbol of Mongolian national pride and cultural revival and visit the National Museum of Mongolian History, where you will see artifacts from Mongolia and Central Asia from the Stone Age to the present.

Excursion to Zaisan Hill War Memorial to get your bearings with a panoramic view of the whole city.

Day 2. The granite formations of Baga Gazriin Chuluu

A Visit of Mountains Baga Gazriin Chuluu, where we’ll observe stunning granite rocky formations eroded by the violent elements of this area. In the 19th century, two respected lamas lived here, and we still can see their inscriptions in the rock. According to the legend, Genghis Khan too is supposed to have lived in this wonderful area where it’s pleasant to walk.

Day 3. ​The rocky formations of Tsagaan Suvarga (white stupa)

The rocky formations of Tsagaan Suvarga, ”white stupa”, are located in the Southeast of the sum Ölziit, on the Southern border of the province of Dundgovi. These rocky formations eroded by the wind look like a ruined city if you observe them from a certain distance (85 kilometres, 52,82 miles). They are about 60 metres (196,85 feet) high and 400 metres (1312,34 feet) long.

Southwest Tsagaan Suvarga, another rock called Ulaan Suvarga, the “red stupa”, has the same structure.

Day 4. Eagle valley

Today’s destination is Yolyn Am, or ‘Eagle Valley’. Take a trip to Yol Am and Dungene valley – a wonderfully picturesque place with ice in summer, and surrounded by sheer rocky walls, forming incredible canyons. Enjoy small hiking and photographing the charming landscape and wildlife.

Visit the Gobi museum. These areas are situated in the Gobi Gurvan Saikhan National Park that encompasses the “Three Beauties” peaks and the most easterly points of the Altai Mountains.

Day 5. Mongolian largest sand dunes and camel ride

After breakfast, you will be driven to Khongor sand dunes. These are Mongolia’s largest sand dunes, reaching a height of 300 meters in some areas. You will be riding on camel to explore the Khongor sand dunes.

The two-humped Bactrian camels are very comfortable to ride as they walk slowly and gently, and you will be well supported by the humps, sitting comfortably between them. Our camel man will lead you safely through the sand dunes. Plus, you will have an opportunity to visit a camel herdsman’s family to explore their way of life, their culture and traditions.

The sand dunes change color with each hour of the day, from yellow to silver to rose-colored at (dawn/ sundown).  (B+L+D)

Day 6. Bayanzag, the land of the Dinosaurs

Today we will drive to Bayanzag, (known as a Flaming Cliffs where the first nest of dinosaur eggs found in 1922) a site famous for the remains of dinosaurs which lived here 60 million years ago.

You can walk around where dinosaurs once roamed and see saksaul trees and other classic desert vegetation.

Day 7. Ongi Temple

After breakfast, we will drive to Ongi Temple ruins which had about a thousand lamas. It is a ruin of big monastery Bari Yonzon Hamba on the bank of the river. On the way, we will enjoy the vast steppe of the country. Play traditional games.

Day 8. Ulan tsutgalan falls, Tovhon temple

After breakfast, we will visit of Ulan Tsutgalaan falls, white flood flowing on the black stone, transformed in rainbow by a short sunray… These 16-metres (52,49 feet) falls are just magic! They were formed 20.000 years ago, as a result of a unique combination of earthquakes and volcano eruptions.

Then, we will visit of Tovkhon Monastery. Vehicles can’t go until the top of Öndör Ulaan Hill and we will walk until there to discover Tovkhon Ermitage, where Zanabazar, the first religious leader of Mongolia, created the Soyombo alphabet. The monastery is located 2312 metres (1,44 mile) above the sea level and from that place we’ll have a wonderful view of the whole Khangai range. We’ll picnic in exceptional surroundings, facing Orkhon Valley.

Day 9. Erdenezuu and Kharkhorin

After breakfast at the tourist camp, drive to Kharkhorin, the symbolic ruins of the 13th century capital of the Mongol Empire. On the way, you will see Khusuu Tsaidam, a Turkic inscribed monument of the Turkic State (6th – 8th Centuries A.D).

Visit Erdene-Zuu, the oldest monastery, with 108 stupas, built in 1586. Then visit the Kharkhorin museum and see the Great Mongol state period, Stone Age, Bronze Age, Ancient state period halls.

Day 10. Elsen tasarhai  (Mini gobi), Uvgun temple

After breakfast, we will visit to Elsen Tasarkhai Sand dunes situated in a southern of Khugnu Tarna National Park and enjoy activities such as playing and surfing in sand, horse and two humped camel riding, visiting Mongolian herder’s family. Also trekking or horse riding trip to Khughu Khan mountain and visit ruin of ancient monastery site.

Overnight at tourist Ger camp in Elsen Tasarkhai. (B+L+D)

Day 11. Ulaanbaatar

After breakfast, you will be transferred from your hotel to the airport. (B)
